Emergency Services Open Day

Our local Emergency Services will take time out of their busy day so we can find out all about their jobs and what they use every day.

We will have display’s from our local Gardaí, the water unit, the traffic unit, the dog unit, and the mounted unit.
They will also be joined by the Killaloe Coast Guard, Killaloe-Ballina Search and Recovery, Killaloe Fire Brigade and the Blood Bikes.
Get fingerprinted by the Gardaí and hear sirens wail.
Face painting, goodie bags and lots of fun on the day.

As 2022 marks the centenary celebration of the establishment of An Garda Siochána in Irelan, our local Garda Station will host an exhibition of Garda memorabila, including some old photos.

A special musical treat will be provided on the day with some local buskers on the day – Cleo Griffin, Patch Curtin, Aiden Ryan and Maria Madden.
